The initial idea for the Born Agains series came from a closet full of broken guitars my brother Michael had set aside for spare parts.  The first Born Agains came from this closet of broken guitars.  Each guitar was sanded down to the raw wood surface and put back together. Linocut prints where then made for each of the guitars.  The videos inside the guitars are played through portable dvd players. They are an investigation of birds that frequent my backyard.  The combination of the guitar and the video working together, allow the viewer to see and hear an everyday experience of birds through the body of a once broken instrument.
